Update from 3.1.11 up to 3.2.2

Post by Country-Man » Tue May 22, 2018 8:49 pm

Hello all,

I'd tried to update my Board from V 3.1.11 up to 3.2.2. So I was delete all files and directories on my server (excluded config.php, /download, /ext, /files, /images, /store). Copyed the new files (from V 3.2.2) to the server - excluded named files and dir's.

So I got the following Messages:
Image

And after Submit:
Image

What's going wrong?

I just asked in the german Community - but there is no more Support.

(Don't know, why the Pictures doen't work :?: )

when the images don't work, it is hard to tell what the problem is.

not sure exactly what you did to update , however the proper way is to follow these instructions exactly and in order:
https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3 ... upgrade31/

note that nowhere in those instructions does it say to save the downloads folder so I am not sure where you got your instructions from.

give that a try and see what happens.

ok, first image is correct, you click the update database only button and submit.

the next error is probably because you have mysql in your config.php file.

edit that with a text editor only, change mysql to mysqli
save, upload and try the database update again.

ok, is it still set to mysqli? if not, make it so.

also, what is your php version. in the install folder is a file named phpinfo.php
in your browser, go to http://yourdomain.com/yourphpbb/install/phpinfo.php

at the very top of that page will show you what php version is running on the server where your phpbb install is.
