Hello, I am running classified ads on my phpbb based site.
I have users that duplicate their post after certain time. After approving their post I realize it is not shown up as the "new post date", and their existing old post still exist.
So my question is, is this normal for phpbb to detect duplicate post by the same user and count them as a post (using the old post and NOT the new post)?
EDIT: I am talking about the same forum.
EDIT 2: This problem has been on going, what i realize was:
Some of the approved topics are showing up in my notifications to get me to approve them again. It could be posts from August, and today september 3rd is showing up in my notification.
Why is this happening to my board?
I am running 3.2.2
All topics by newly reg and reg users are required to be approved by admin.

Their only post? Their last post? All of their posts? What means "duplicate" to you: also having the same posting time?

Why should an older post not exist anymore? Can you link to one example of this, i.e. link to an "old" post and one you say which "is not shown up as the "new post date"".

Until here: no. Posts can only be duplicated thru copying existing topics, which is a moderator permission. Otherwise it's not possible.

No, neither of those.

SAME FORUM
I approved a post today from User A
The subject and the content is exactly the same as what User A had posted 2 months ago.
However, when I approve, the new post did not show up.

Posts can be edited, leading them into needing new approval.
