How do I allow bots to index individual posts?

Post by zackfett » Mon Jul 09, 2018 5:04 pm

Last week I gave the bots usergroup "Bot Access" to all forums on my site (https://forums.quark.com/). However, individual posts don't appear to come up in Google searches yet. Does it take more time, or are there more settings I need to adjust?

It wouldn't be indexing individual posts. Those would show when it indexes topics. Currently, I can see 3 pages of topics from your board

The link to your board doesn't work, it needs http:// in front of it, you should always post the full url not leave it for everyone else to have to guess it.

Well spotted Janus.

OP: Your cookie secure needs enabling and you should always use https in the url. You can add a redirect to your .htaccess file to make the transition from http to https automatic.

Thank you all. I'm on an IIS 7 server so I downloaded the "URL Rewrite" module to successfully add the https redirect code to my web.config file.
