Can't post on windows install - HTTP ERROR 500

Post by TheCapulet » Tue Jul 17, 2018 10:08 pm

I've tried MySQL 5.6 and MSSQL 14, ssl and sans ssl, I've made the cache, files, and images (avatars) folders user writable.

On php 5.6 with every packaged extension enabled. Tried 7.0+, but phpbb doesn't seem to use the pdo mysql extension over the standard mysql.dll extension, so stuck with 5.6. Logs don't show anything.

Everything seems to work fine, aside from posting. Any time I try to post, I get an HTTP 500 error.

Anyone able to help me?

(Can give ftp, panel, and direct RDP access if needed. (Snapshots already taken.)

Server is set up and working fine. I'm specifically looking for support for installing phpbb on windows and what I'm missing, config or permission-wise I'm assuming, that is stopping me from posting.

did you look at the php error log to see what is causing the error?
did you reboot the server after making any changes to php versions etc.?
