Maybe one of those extensions is responsible.. disable extensions and find out.

I thought that also. Doesn't matter if I try to edit just 1.

I know the limit used to be 255, but that was increased a while ago. I was thinking you could have like 600 before problems started...

Should I remove all but the default of them in mysql with this in phpmyadmin?

Code: Select all

DELETE FROM phpbb_smilies WHERE `smiley_id` > 42;
What would be the best way to save them so then I could add them back in?
Thanks in advance for a reply.

Try exporting them, using the Export and Download link.
Copy that off, and then edit the file leaving only the ones you want to keep.
When you re-import, you are given the choice of deleting all first.

I will try that. Thanks

When I import will it reset the "Display on posting page" also? I can't seem to edit those either.

Is it possible I do not have the correct CHMOD on smilies folder?
Thanks in advance for a reply.

So, I deleted all the smilies and just uploaded default smilies... Then I edited the .pak file with all my smilies changing 1 to 0 on the ones that I didn't want to display on posts. Then I had to remove a "SPACE" at the the end of each line on the pak script to import
Thanks in advance for a reply.
