How To Get Rid of the FAQ on the Top Tool Bar?

Post by thehay95 » Mon Oct 01, 2018 8:42 am

Is it possible?

I don't allow members to 'search' the forum. The reasons are long and complicated.

However, I constantly get people going to the FAQ and seeing the information on 'how to search' and then emailing wanting to know why they can't search.

Is there a way to delete the FAQ on the top tool bar so I can avoid this? Thx.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuude, killing symptoms won't fix your problems. Either augment the FAQs because it indeed is a frequently asked question or at least create a post somewhere explaining it. I will help you with either of these options, but removing access to the FAQ will hide all answers given there for no reason.

Or edit FAQ.html to indicate that searching is not allowed on your board.

Maybe you're better off to change the contents of the FAQ explaining why search is disabled and emailing about it won't help.
