Issue going from 3.2.2 to 3.2.3

Post by chanlon1 » Sat Oct 13, 2018 10:29 pm

All,
I have a test site and a production site, both running v3.2.2
Tonight I decided to update the test one to v3.2.3.

I chose the "Changed Files" route and uploaded all of the changed files successfully (I have used the Changed Files option previously etc)
The database update in the install section ran fine.
When I access the site, everything looks and operates fine.
When I log in to the ACP, again everything appears to be fine and operate as expected
EXCEPT.....when I go to the Customise tab, at the top of the screen I get

Code: Select all

[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions.php on line 2674: file(./../styles/subsilver2/style.cfg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions.php on line 2677: Invalid argument supplied for foreach()
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions_acp.php on line 137: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [ROOT]/includes/functions.php:3291)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions_acp.php on line 137: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [ROOT]/includes/functions.php:3291)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions_acp.php on line 137: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [ROOT]/includes/functions.php:3291)
This seems to be the only place on the whole site that has this appearing.

I have no idea why its looking for sub silver style as ProSilver is the only one I use.

I could look at doing the full install, but curious as to why it seems to be referencing subsilver2.

Appreciate any thoughts.

Try this: assuming prosilver is style 1

Code: Select all

UPDATE 'phpbb_users' SET 'user_style'=1
That should set everyone to prosilver. Not sure if that will make the error go away, but worth a try.

Tried, and didn't make any difference.

Have you made any changes to the core files? If not, re-upload the contents of the full package. See Knowledge Base - Updating 3.2.x

I'd made one change to the Overallfooter file to include a PayPal button.
I removed the code, re uploaded, purged the cache etc and the warnings still appear.

Cant for the life of me work out where it is referencing subsilver2 as Prosilver is the only one I've been using.

I guess I will have to go down the path of uploading every per the instructions above, was hoping the issue would be simple to resolve.

Are you sure that you do not have a subsilver2 folder in your styles folder?

I don’t.
There’s only two folders, one called All and then prosilver.

Robert,
I double checked the config file, everything is grand in it.
The forum had been working fine with 3.2.2 prior.

since I uploaded all the achive update files in the update files section of the installation process, is there anyway to continue onto the database update. I am stuck in update files section. I used automatic update. when i run update files I got this: Skip “installer.update_filesystem.diff_files” task and this followed:
Not modified files
» View/Hide file list

The following files are not modified and represent the original phpBB files from the version you want to update from.

No files where listed. and i can't continue on. It wants me to check files again. and again and again etc.

start over and don't use the auto update method at all.

https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3 ... ating-32x/

follow those instructions exactly and in order and you should be fine.

I have just finished using the above instruction sand the same thing is still showing.
The auto update method was never used at any point.
