Spam overkill on 3.2 board!

Post by static1635 »

Oh! I upgraded to 3.2 from 3.0 as the spammers were so rediculos, but only after a few days, and moving to a different domain the spammers are just crazy. Problem is I am making it so hard for normal members to sign up and still the spammers get in. I have akismet running, and really don't know what else to do.

A good non-searchable Q&A will stop them in their tracks.

If you're using any of the wobbly letter captchas they were all beaten years ago.

updating will have no effect on your spam problem. you need to setup the built in Q&A with a question that can not be googled for the answer and it will stop your spam problem.

I answered your update question in the other topic.

If you still have problems you should start a new support topic starting with the SRT please.

The current wobbly letters you're using were beaten ages ago. A Q&A needs something you can't google the answer to.

For instance you could ask what form of transport is in your forum logo.
Or even what specific form of transport i.e. a biplane
