Custom profile fields!? [SOLVED]

Post by Guldstrand » Mon Oct 15, 2018 5:20 pm

Where can i find the setting to allow all users to see and change the custom profile fields i have added?
As it is right now, only me as administrator can see the fields in my profile.

Have users even set something in their ucp? Empty fields will not be visible.

Logically it should be in the Permissions tab, User/Group Permissions and going from memory there's a permission-setting regarding editing profilefields.

You can choose to have empty fields visible.
But i can't figure out Why only me as admin can see them.

Any other ideas?

AFAIR there is something in the first tab in the ACP (General? ) and in Forum functions (I think that's what it's called - it's in the second group) at the bottom there are a couple of radiobuttons pertaining to loading custom fields).
Sorry, haven't got access to localhost ATM so I can't check it.

Check the permission mask for a user (and compare that with the permission mask for yourself as admin).

What about standard cp fields? Are those hidden as well?

Hmm.. none of the fields is shown in ucp.php (for others than admin).
But it's shown in memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile.

Very strange!
I have double checked all permissions, what can it be?
(It's a new, fresh install av latest PhpBB.)

Do you have a test account so we can take a look?

I finally found the problem.
It was an small issue with the cookie-setting in the ACP.

Now all usergroups can see AND edit the custom fields.
