To receive style support, for styles obtained from this site, please visit our Styles database and post in the specific style's designated Discussion/Support forum. The link to the support area for each released style is also available in the first post of each released style listed in the [3.2.x] Styles Database Releases forum.

General support requests regarding styles should be made in Styles Support & Discussion forums.

For styles not obtained from this site you would need to seek support from where you obtained the style.

I do not want to start too many threads so I ask here. How can you make guests see "link" new posts/topics?

Meaning of your sentence is:
To see recent (New) posts?
or to authorize guests to see any Post?

You can't because everyone is a guest until they log in and there is no failproof way of knowing if a post is new to a specific guest and not to another.

Guests can not see the new post "button" and I want to change that they can see.

Which new post "button" are you talking about? The New Topic somewhere near the top of viewforum.php, or the Post Reply at the bottom of a topic in viewtopic.php?
Or do you mean a link to "new posts since the last visit"? (in which case there is none).

edit: whatever it is, it's style-related so you should ask the author of the style you want to use.

Do you have to answer all my posts Gestapo? But now I know how to add people to ignore so you end up. Thank you AmigoJack.

So you're looking to make some of the links in the quick links menu adjacent to the others in the pic in your OP?

That is a very unusual attitude to adopt when asking other members for help

Skippa bilden, den där new post syns inte för gäster. vill att även gäster ska kunna använda det.
(google translate is why I'm able to help you)

The code you seek can be found in navbar_header.html, which your style should have a copy of.

Search for id="quick-links" which should be at the top, and you can copy the ahref into the locations that you want, I'm not sure if phpbb will allow guests to use it, but that will put the link where you want it.

It is strange that guests can not choose a new topic.
Well, consider the system. For users, it is simple to log when they were last active on the forum, and on their next visit, phpbb checks for all new posts made after that date for that user.

If it were to work for guests, you would need to track each guest somehow, and store that individual's last visit. Otherwise, how is phpbb to know when that guest last visited, and how would it find new posts that the guest hasn't seen yet? It would be simply impossible.

Guests can, though, view Active Topics and Unanswered Topics, which would have a lot of the same results as New Posts, and these are able to be viewed without having to track every single guest.

Does this make sense?

if you are talking about a guest being able to start a new topic then the button will not show up unless you have given the guest group permissions to post/start new topics etc.

by default, guests can not post at all.
