I copied all prosilver files into /styles/all/template/
Did you copy or move them?

Whatever you did undo that

Yes and now I copied all prosilver files into /styles/all/template/
That is completely wrong.

The directory /styles should basically have 2 subdirectories: /all and /prosilver
The could be more e.g. /subsilver2 or other styles.

Is it possible that your 3.0 board had other styles, and that is wasn't properly sanitised before upgrading to 3.2?

edit: you mentioned that your backup dus not have the /all in /styles. If that's you 3.0 backup then that is correct, there was no /styles/all in a default 3.0.
Did you have any modifications on your 3.0, did you remove all styles expect for prosilver, British English as only and default language?

Yes i removed subsilver2 and only had english,

but maybe I had a front page to the theme, I am not sure, it is so many years since I made the original fora.

I can't really know, the fora was not working correct when i started to upgrade, and the support toolkit did not work at all.

OK, that kind of points to the cause of a failed update.
If you're interested I could have a look at your board and try to fix it (it's been my hobby this year -± 15 to 20 boards upgraded, 2 of them with serious problems).
Could you make a copy (you can delete all records from the posts and topic tables - actually no, leave 1 topic with a post in each forum, and change the members' info - just leave enough so that I can compare the structure with a pristine 3.0 database). Also make an admin account for me.
If you're interested send me a PM.

Yes I did read the topic - but it is not working now, so really there is not much difference.

You do NOT want, nor need, all your prosilver style files in the "all" folder that is guaranteed to cause problems.

If I am not mistaken the "all" folder only started in 3.2 - so the backup could be from a 3.1.x version.

Yes, but I'm counting on the 3.0.11 being the correct starting point.

My latest update was 3.0.11

Update to 3.1.x and after to 3.2.4. As i understand it, there's either a bug somewhere that modifies db when one is trying to update from 3.0 branch (may be related to mod mess in db) or a wrong update method that was used at some point in the past.

I received the latest backup but that is already from the messed up upgrade. I haven't been able to import it into a database yet but the config.php states 3.2.0-dev.
The files are a mix of modified 3.0.11 files and the new 3.2 files but some of the modified 3.0.11 files which still exist in 3.2.
I was hoping to get the non-working 3.0.11 database so that I could compare that to a clean 3.0.11 but since that's out of the question I compared them to 3.2.0-dev and it's mess.

I actually wanted to do that yesterday but Skype messed up my plans. I must have accidentally updated Skype from the old version (7) to the new version (8) which doesn't have the setting to stop it from listening to port 80 and 443, so Apache refused to start up. Had to uninstall Skype and search for the old version to download.
Anyway Apache is back in business now and I should be able to assess the real damage this evening.

I see.. so it's pointing to a wrong update method. Without a good backup, to solve it.. manual db editing is required.
