Please describe your problem. Today I was looking through nginx logs, and noticed the following error appearing multiple times:

Code: Select all

2019/01/01 20:41:30 [error] 27991#27991: *6183382 FastCGI sent in stderr: "PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4096 bytes) in __PATH_TO_WEB_ROOT__/forum/phpbb/db/driver/mysqli.php on line 255" while reading response header from upstream, client: 31.173.240.237, server: www.fighting.ru, request: "GET /forum/cron.php?cron_type=cron.task.core.tidy_sessions HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php/php7.2-fpm.sock:", host: "www.fighting.ru", referrer: "https://www.fighting.ru/forum/index.php"
I haven't modified any phpbb-related files recently. I did recently start running some extra services at server, but I'm not sure how to check if that's the reason for this error and how to fix it.

What cron job, is it to do with one of your many extensions?

Looking at the error log it appears to be core.tidy_sessions which I would not have thought would be that much of a load unless there had been a spam attack creating an excessive number of sessions.

I would suggest that you manually empty the sessions table (OK so some will have to log on again) and see if the problem persists.

Yep, thanks for the hint, I'll try looking into this.
