Updating from 3.2.2 to 3.2.5 problems

Post by Mikejj101 » Mon Feb 11, 2019 3:21 pm

Trying to update to latest version - 3.2.5 from 3.2.2 and i've hit a problem with file replacement.

When trying to update files I get a time out message. I think maybe I entered the wrong info into the connection details but cannot get back to any screen to reset the details. How do I reset the FTP and username etc.. details?
All I get is a time out screen. I've tried manually sorting the files via ftp but keep getting stuck on the update files screen

Any help appreciated.

Mike

You don't say what update method you are using, but it sounds like you are using changed files or automatic update. Don't. Do this - https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3 ... ating-32x/

Upload the 3.2.5 files with ftp (do not overwrite your config.php). see https://www.phpbb.com/support/documents ... n=3#update
and use only 4.i or 4.ii
Before starting the update ...
Check your /store directory and delete config_install.php install_config.php, io_lock.lock and any migrationxxxx files.
Then go to /install/app.php >>> update >>> database only.
A bug is a feature that hasn't made it to the manual (yet)
