Hopefully is for 3.0.14. :)

In any case you NEED to set it to EN, see my post above yours.

So, use this query to set to "en" the language so you can go ahead this time:

UPDATE phpbb_config SET config_value = 'en' WHERE phpbb_config.config_name = 'default_lang';

In phpmyadmin / SQL tab. Change phpbb_ to your prefix if different (see config.php).
Whoops, didn't see this one and tried to fix it by installing the language pack. Which did seem to work though. It updated and mentioned no errors.

Ok, now don't look at the error about the template. :geek: ;)
http://prntscr.com/mx2igu

edit: or run UPDATE phpbb_config SET config_value = 1 WHERE config_name = 'default_style';
You can also change it from the STK / Tools.

Go ahead and install the STK and run the DB cleaner for 3.0.14.

So, onto stk. It told me to run Emergency Repair Kit, which I did. then I get to this screen:

Image

Code: Select all

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /home/marcekn349/domains/funeralpolka.nl/public_html/includes/functions.php on line 4724: Undefined index: load_unreads_search
I can get into the ACP now.

Looking at the maintenance log about 39 pages of stuff (styles/templates/etc.) was removed.

You should follow my instructions instead, or ask in case and before to proceed.

Go ahead and install the STK and run the DB cleaner for 3.0.14.
Now you don't have a backup of the updated DB before of such step and you should redo again the previous steps in order.

Then

I can't follow anymore for today, luck. Read my posts above yours BTW.

So, that means I should not have clicked yes on the Emergency Repair Kit?

No problem, I can just redo everything again. Thanks. ;)

To resume

1 - create a new DB and fill it with the 3.0.9's backup

A - important (do NOT upload the dutch language pack) but run

Code: Select all

UPDATE phpbb_config SET config_value = 'en' WHERE config_name = 'default_lang';
UPDATE phpbb_config SET config_value = 1 WHERE config_name = 'default_style';
2 - copy all the files of a fresh 3.0.14 and the old config.php file which should be amended with the new DBname, DBpassword.

3 - run the install/database_update (now you are on 3.0.14)

4 - run the STK for 3.0.14 and clean up the updated DB (no emergency kit)

5 - upgrade to 3.2.5 following the right procedure which has been already posted somewhere in this topic.

6 - switch to a newer PHP version max 7.2.x.

In case and before you to proceed with something not in the list pls ASK.

Alright, so i'm back at 3. I did 1, 1A and 2 exactly as instructed.

Now, the updating seems to hang.

It's been there for 10 minutes, no indication of anything happening. When I did it yesterday (after installing the language pack) it did finish. I am inclined to just run it again but..
In case and before you to proceed with something not in the list pls ASK.
;)

edit: in case it helps I happened to have made a screenshot yesterday of the results so we know what it should logically be doing instead of haning:
