Allow users to delete their own post

Post by new.new » Thu Mar 21, 2019 6:26 pm

I'd like to allow my users to delete their own post even when other users have posted after them.
It seems giving the "Allow users to delete their own post" permission is not enought to do this.

I found this old thread where there is a quick mod to fix this, but unfortunately it seems the .php files have changed in these years:
viewtopic.php?t=1725485

How can i do this on a modern version of phpbb? I'm using phpbb 3.2.2

have you thought about what happens to a topic when the topic starter deletes his post? the whole topic can become meaningless when that happens.

just something to think about.

that is why it is setup the way it is to keep that from happening.

And the same thing can happen if you allow users to edit their posts
