How odd. The fix contains off of the edited files needed and has worked in all other cases.
Try the following and see if you can log on with this temporary admin account
In phpMyAdmin, run the following, which will create an admin user named
Admin1 with a password of
admin. From that point you should be able to get into the ACP.
Code: Select all
INSERT INTO phpbb_users (user_type, group_id, username, username_clean, user_regdate, user_password, user_email, user_lang, user_style, user_rank, user_colour, user_posts, user_permissions, user_ip, user_birthday, user_lastpage, user_last_confirm_key, user_post_sortby_type, user_post_sortby_dir, user_topic_sortby_type, user_topic_sortby_dir, user_avatar, user_sig, user_sig_bbcode_uid, user_jabber, user_actkey, user_newpasswd) VALUES (3, 5, 'Admin1', 'admin1', 0, '21232f297a57a5a743894a0e4a801fc3', '[email protected]', 'en', 1, 1, 'AA0000', 1, '', '', '', '', '', 't', 'a', 't', 'd', '', '', '', '', '', '');
Change your table prefix if it is not
phpbb_
See
Executing SQL Queries in phpMyAdmin if you are unfamiliar with running database queries.
As soon as you have done this, use the temporary admin account to change the details on the original admin account, then delete the temporary account.
This is because:
- anyone could use that account to log in to your board if you didn't change the password.
- this temporary user has not been fully set up (e.g. it is not a member of the "Registered users" group, so it won't have normal access to your forums).
To remove the account you will first need to remove
founder
status from it:
ACP > USERS AND GROUPS tab > Manage Users > Admin1 > Overview > Founder = No

I would try a fresh download of the files, (just in case) and don't forget to upzip on your computer as unzipping on the server can cause problems.
Also you can add the files in my quick fix download before you install the board.

Looking at the generated page for
http://drugden.uk/ucp.php?mode=login, the hidden fields are definitely in
that form, anyway, as expected. If you login to your board specifically through
that link, and still get "form invalid", the next "logical" suspicion is that the failure you're seeing is because of one of the "other" reasons for "form invalid", rather than the new phpBB 3.2.6 reasons.
Which is still a bit confusing, since the fact "form invalid" is being checked at all
during the login is indeed still new to phpBB 3.2.6, even though the "normal" reasons submission can fail with "form invalid" actually aren't new to phpBB 3.2.6.
For example, was the login page presented for a long period of time before actually attempting to submit it? Or, is the "Maximum time to submit forms" in the
ACP, General, Server Configuration, Security Settings set to a notably short period of time?
One other thing I see is that the phpBB code assumes "if zero seconds have passed between the time the form was presented and the time the form was submitted, assume it must be a bot and fail." Do you happen to have a username & password auto-fill in the browser which is making your login attempts "nearly instantaneous"? Is the outcome different if you manually type the input, even if it was already correct?
Edit:
Finally, for the actual encrypted token check, I see that the "Tie forms to guest sessions:" settings in that same
ACP, General, Server Configuration, Security Settings section is being consulted, although it's unclear that "Yes" versus "No" would actually make a difference in the outcome. But perhaps confirm this is at its default of "Yes", too.

Have you tried Kirk's fix for login that can be found in Portal's web?
See GLOBAL ANNOUNCEMENTS in

Possibly because you're using phpBB 3.2.7 and Board3, neither of which are mentioned in this topic, so I'm clueless as to the proposed solution

That post was made in May due to a few errors that were discovered in 3.2.6, since then phpBB has been updated to 3.2.7 and the files referenced are no longer required. Make sure you are uing the current version and should you still be experiencing the error please start your own topic and complete the

I made a post of my own.
I have 3.2.7 and a new install.
I solved it be clearing ALL my cookies in firefox. The board cookie wasn't enough if you can believe it.
Chrome and Opera were fine. Just FF had the problem.

But will clearing the cookies on your local help other users experiencing the same login issue? I am experiencing the above problem with 3.3 and I'm worried my users won't know to clear their cookies to be able to log in.

So post a message explaining how to clear the cookies and cache.
