[Split] Upload of huge files

Post by SteveMacLeodNS » Mon Jun 10, 2019 12:26 pm

I setup a fresh PhpBB 3.2.7 board, using Softalicous cPanel on my provider, HostPapa services. I set it to allow large file uploads, in the Admin settings and also PHP configs, my ISP checked all the settings as well, I can upload an 84MB file, but the upload screen never finishes and shows me the Check Mark on the upload, instead it blows out with an "http error" message, is there anything I can do to remedy this?

your first problem is that you used the host install. those are not the official files from here.
we have no way of knowing what changes they have made to them or to their system to allow the one click install etc.

best bet would be to delete the lot and start fresh with the download you get here.

The package you used to install your board (softalicious) is modified to give you the auto-install facility, it isn’t ours so can’t fully support it. We see many such issues with this type of installation. Your first step should be to ask your host but I doubt they will support you. If it’s a brand new board I suggest you delete everything you have and re-install using the software from here.
