Mod security settings are very easy to change, ten minutes tops I would say, if they know what they’re doing of course
Been four days now  I'm not full of confidence.

Just got an email. It has been fixed, let's hope it's OK for other users on UK2.

Totally agree, I may well be moving. Their first response is often "We have changed nothing", which is usually a lie.
It's gray area, WHM/Cpanel updates are pretty regular, typically once a day it's checked. For something like mod_security rule set that may have regular updates.

Yes I see what you mean. Maybe it was a bit harsh, not really an update if done so much. Oh well all is fixed now.

I can understand the frustration but they can pretty much answer "yes" or "probably" any time that question is asked if it's WHM/cpanel server. .

Level 2 has corrected the issue (don't know how) and now my forums are up and running.

Thank you very much to all who has assisted technically, they have been three long days in which I did not feel alone ;)

Yes thankfully our board came up at 9 BST this morning, but we did not get an email to tell us that as far as I'm aware, but the hosting account is in the 80 year old's name as is the communication email address and we're in different locations. Massive sense of relief but would like to know the reasons all the same. I gathered together all thhe input from all the topic threads relating to this problem and we blitzed them with it all plus a strong covering letter.

So thank you to everybody who participated in helping to get this resolved, this is the worst outage we've ever had, so a good effort all round.

Kind Regards
BeBop
