Because the additional component is PHP, coming with a default timeout. Alter the corresponding PHP script to timeout after ...3 hours (still better than "never") and it should "work" (everything still works as intended, it's just that you have other expectations).

Thanks for the logical answer, I will test increasing the timeout of my php, as I need to remove 100000 users from the database. Any way to find orphaned rows of data in the database?
