Post by mrix2000 » Wed Aug 14, 2019 9:37 am

Hello all, I have set my forum where new member need to have their first 5 posts approved when they register, if I have a problem with a member further down the line and need to put them back on 5 post approval how could this be done ? do I simply add them to the Newly register group ?

Thanks for any help

Anyone can be put in to any group but the problem is their post count would already be higher than the total needed and so I don't think the 'flag' resets. You would have to manually remove them from the group when you think they've served their penalty.

It's often useful to make a separate hidden group which is on the moderation queue for all forums. This can act as a sort of 'jail' for misbehaving people and you can immediately see who is in that group and remove them when you like.

Oh I see so making a special hidden group seems to be the way to go 8-)
Thanks Kev
