Facebook sharing

Hello,

I have a forum which requires people to login to see or post anything. One thing that I'd like to be able to do is to share posts on Facebook and have the Facebook debugger be able to scrape the topic title and eventually images that might exist in that topic. This works if the forum is public but as it stands, requiring login, the debugger will always scrape the login page of the forum (as expected).

Is there any way to allow Facebook to scrape the information that's needed (ie, allow the Facebook debugger to skip the login requirement). Is this even secure?

Thanks.

Sorry, I didn't understand that.

What I want to know is if it's possible to configure phpBB in any way that the Facebook Debugger can override the login requirement and, if possible, if that's something I would want to refrain from doing.

I want to be able to share some posts on Facebook and have it scrap the title, description and image even though someone wanting to access it would have to login.

Thanks.

Not in a default phpBB set up. You should post in extension requests if you can’t find anything that suits your purpose in the CDB.

And https://dlvrit.com/ can do that, not by access your board but read your feed(s)

It is only not free.

Thanks, I haven't found anything and honestly don't think it's worth doing an extension for. It would be nice to have but not worth the trouble :)

why would you want something that is restricted access on your board to be made available without restrictions on facebook?
