File upload

Post by paulyii » Thu Sep 12, 2019 12:23 am

my site's FTP server is going cracko ...
can't connect to it ...
thus cannot upload files ...
had asked in the provider's forum about it ..
Answer is wrong password .... there may be space before or after the password if you are using copy and paste
well , i checked and double and triple checked ... everything were entered correctly ...
i have to leave it alone ... after all , i wont be doing much uploading of files anymore ..

only the last upload ... i think ...
just one single file ... to create a BBCode for playing mp3.
player.swf

Question is ..
is it advisible to upload it through File Manager ??

for just the one file it should be fine. make sure everything is set to upload in binary and not ascii

in my experience when the host says it is not their fault it magically fixes itself after a while. makes you go hmmmm

No.

For the simple reason you are uploading a Flash file which is not secure at all.

Moreover, to add a bbcode which plays MP3s you can just use the HTML5 audio facility.

https://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_audio.asp

And you don't need to upload anything.

Code: Select all

<audio controls autoplay>
      <source src="{URL}">
</audio>

And these are the types of problems, and lack of support, that you will keep getting when using free hosting.
