Cant Log Into ACP After Installing Extension

A bit frustrated here.
I tried to install an extension that tells you the activity stats within the last 24 hours.
I didn't like it so I deleted it.

One I deleted it, I have not been able to access my ACP and it deleted my profile avatar.

I keep getting

HTTP ERROR 500

I am using the latest version 3.2.8 and running Proflat theme.

How can I recover from this please folks?

Put the extension files back in place.

The correct to remove an extension : (most probably included in the extension instructions)
a) disable the extension
b) delete the extension data (ACP)
c) remove the extension files

After putting pack the extension files you might have to empty /cache (leave index.htm and .htaccess)

I tried putting the extension files back and got the same results

How can I purge the cache without signing into ACP?

In my cache I have two directories other than the htaccess and index.htm

Do I delete these directories?

To clear your cache via FTP, delete the /cache/production directory from your server.

First of all, unzipping on the server can mess up the directory structure. It's best to unzip on you PC and then upload the complete set (keeping directory structure).

Your board has a root directory. In that root directory there is a directory named "cache". You can purge the cache by emptying that /cache directory (but you have to leave the index.htm and the .htaccess).

If you didn't disable the extension before deleting the files, there might errors. In you encounter a blocking error, use Disabling all extensions at once.

Added: strange, I didn't get any notice that there was a new post when I submitted. This also happened 2 or 3 weeks ago.
