Change log mail question

Post by NeedToKnow »

I'm still with phpbb 3.2.7. Yes, I will update to 3.3 when the style I'm using catches up to it. Hopefully it won't be long. Until then...

I'm trying to hunt down an email problem I'm having. Does anybody know whether the mail bugs cited in the change logs after phpbb 3.2.7 could have been exploited to send unauthorized email? I hope I've said that right. For sake of clarity, I have v 3.2.7. Was there a problem with it that might have allowed sending unauthorized mail? If yes, I'll have to update very soon. Or at the very least disable mail until I can update. If not, I have to look some place else to find the source of the trouble.

Thanks.

It's complex but boils down to attempts to use my server as a mail relay.

Excellent. That's a big time saver, and what I needed to know.

Thank you.
