extension css in style or style css in extension ?

Post by Sajaki » Mon Oct 09, 2017 12:12 pm

hi,

I'm somewhat in two minds about this. What's the consensus on where to put custom extension css.
  1. in the custom style, provide a css file "extensions.css" just for the target extension
  2. or in the extension, provide a style css for each target custom style ?
I've seen both, but (2) is in the majority.

I am not quite sure what it is that you are asking - but generally you would have a separate .css file(s) within each extension and only load those files when they are needed.

My styles only include support for 'official extensions' from the phpBB team. I will however add support for other extensions if requested only if theres not too much CSS to write otherwise the code would soon get too bloated. I personally think the best way is to have extension CSS in the extension with the style authors and extension authors working together to better benefit the end user.
