Changing page size

I need help with changing the size of the page, I've tried everything but can't seem to be able to do it.

Do you mean the width of the page? Are you using the Prosilver style?

I'm using Avalon and I need to change the width of the page.

can you tell us what version of phpbb you are running and give us a link to this style called "avalon"? I can not find any style by that name in the styles for 3.2 or 3.1 or even 3.0

however, I do remember seeing one in the past.

In stylesheet.css you should see the following:

Code: Select all

#maintable {
    margin: 0 auto;
    background-color: #FFF;
}
Change it to:

Code: Select all

#maintable {
    margin: 10px auto;
    background-color: #FFF;
    width: 95%;
}
Change 95% to the size you want, bare in mind it's an old style so won't be as responsive as other styles therefore may not be wise to change the width to anything under about %80
