Mini Profile above messages

Post by Abraham54 » Thu Jun 20, 2019 7:07 pm

How and where to change in the files, so that the mini profile is not left of right of the message positioned , but above the message.

With the avatar and membername /online / rank on the left side and the other related items on the right side.

For an example of what I mean, I post a picture of my XenForo forum:

at the very least you will have to rewrite the html and the css for some files to do it.
viewtopic_body.html for start.

if you are not well versed in html and css it might be a daunting task.

if you decide to try, make a copy of prosilver or whatever style yo uare using and rename it and use that to play with.
rename the style folder and in the style.cfg file, change the name there as well.
then install that new style on your board and work on it.

also, go to the admin panel, load settings and set "recompile stale style components" to yes so you don't have to purge the cache after every change to the files.

I suggest you either make an extension request or ask in custom coding.

Add this to the bottom of the colours.css or common.css style sheet.

Code: Select all

/* Change Profile To Above The Post
---------------------------------------- */
.postprofile dt {
	float: left;
	margin-left: 0;
}

.post .postprofile {
	width: 100%;
	border-width: 0 0 1px 0;
	margin: 4px 0 2px 0;
	padding-bottom: 4px;
}

.postprofile dd {
	float: right;
	clear: right;
}

.post .postbody {
	width: 100%;
}

@media (max-width: 700px) {
.profile-rank, .profile-rank.rank-img {
	width: 100%;
}
}

To change the online image you will need to get one for the left and then add:

Code: Select all

.online {
	background-position: 0 0;
}

I just tried that and see no change. don't you have to rearrange the code in the viewtopic_body.html file as well?
I believe the css in content.css is overriding it and you also have float left and float right for the same thing.

Oops i forgot to remove the other DD, i've just changed it,
Having checked it again you were right that a line in content.css was overriding it, i've updated the above code and worked around that by changing .postprofile { to .post .postprofile { and .postbody { to .post .postbody {

profiles-top.png
By default when you make the screen smaller the profile moves to the top of the post which is why i think it works with just css changes.
