Thnaks, but ain't the Firefox's Inspect Element also an option? Anyway, if I'd click on a certain background color of my forum, is there an easy way to figure out that where's the code located when opening the colours.ccs with a Notepad++ ?

Yes - just select the element that you want and it will tell you in which file and line number in that file that the code is located.

Hello, only as a supplement: A tool that does a good job, the "FF add-on" --> *web developer ...
Anyway, here on my surface.

Code: Select all

https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/web-developer/
Although you need to set up the particle a little bit and need some time to operate it. It works quite well today to quickly investigate a design.
Click the right mouse button "examine element" and off you go ..
Many greetings

Edit:
You can also add validators to *this AddOn to re-examine the new concept.

nothing wrong with that but it is already a part of firefox by default. no need to install an addon.

right click on whatever you want on any webpage and choose "inspect element" and it will pop up a window that shows you the html and the css for whatever you clicked on.

Oh, I wasn't talking about "need" at all. I was talking about an additional tool for FF that has a lot to offer. He doesn't need it. It's useful. It can be coupled: => Besides the standard "F12", which the browser - like FF - has to offer.
And is then called via F12 in the same way. Insofar I regret to have given the advice.

Excuse me, Robert.
