EA17 I don't know how to thank you enough, it worked perfectly on both my forums, I really appreciate all your help, that was pure genius, I could never have thought of that up.

Have a great weekend

Sorry to have to ask again, Google is fine with the banner sizes and all except for the top image, which funnily enough I use the same code as for the banners.

Code: Select all

<center class="SponsorChatRevive728">
<a href="https://www.sponsorchat.com/index.php" title="Sponsorchat Adult Webmaster Board">
  <img src="https://www.sponsorchat.com/images/sctoplogo2.jpg" border="0">
</a>
</center>

Yet the same code

Code: Select all

<center class="SponsorChatRevive728">
seems to make Google happy for the 728x90 banners on the site, any ideas what to do.

Peace

Not sure that I understand. You're saying the advertising display requirements have some issue with how your own site logo is displayed? (Which I'm assuming is not an advertisement.) Or does "make Google happy" mean something else in this context?

I would not know what to suggest without knowing what exactly they "weren't happy about." What issue is cited, what language did they use to describe it, exactly.

Otherwise what I would assume is that whomever is saying "the attempt to scale the 728x90 advertisement banners on the site" (not your site's own sctoplogo2.jpg banner image) is actually the problem. Because its not obvious how anyone but you would care about how your own site logo is displayed. You don't even have to display your own site logo at all.

Let me rephrase it, Google Search Console shows one error on the site, the top logo is not responsive basically. But the code is the same for my advertising banners which are 728x90 and they fly by fine.

Ah, yes that does make more sense now what kind of report is being made.

I can't see into your Google Search Console, of course, but Google's Mobile-Friendly Test didn't appear to think anything was wrong with the responsiveness of the page when I tested it.

I don't think there is anything wrong with how your site logo is displaying when the screen width drops below 728px. Same as we would have assumed by the fact that this issue wasn't flagged for the advertisement image, too. Without knowing more from Google Search Console and what they're specifically reacting to, I would have to assume its some kind of false positive and can be ignored. At least until the message gets more specific about what's considered to be wrong.

That is what i thought too, I'll just submit the site for a re-check the way it is, I think they are wrong.

Thanks

Hi guys, got one other issue, hope you can help me out.

Been messing around in Google Search Console, and the only 3 problems there for my forum, https://www.sponsorchat.com are:

Clickable elements too close together
Text too small to read
Content wider than screen

Now there are thousands of pages on the domain, in multiple blogs and sites, they keep coming up with 90 pages on the forum itself, all the rest fly by.

I'm thinking of increasing the font sizes for stares and re-testing the site with them, which fonts would you suggest I increase.
Peace
