[Release] we_universal for phpBB 3.2.2

Post by v12mike » Mon Feb 26, 2018 4:15 am

I have updated we_universal for phpBB v3.2.2

The files can be found at: https://github.com/v12mike/we_universal ... /tag/2.5.4

I intend to produce updates to this style in a more timely manner than has been the case for the last couple of years.

Note that phpBB 3.2.0 and 3.2.1 should use this version instead: https://github.com/v12mike/we_universal ... /tag/2.5.3

Hello Mike,

First of all thanks for taking the time to bring WE_universal to 3.2.2; we over at pijprokersforum.nl have been using we_universal for a few years and love it.

Unfortunately after upgrading we do notice a few glitches, such as the ones mentioned above:
- there is no more responsive menu on mobile, we always see the full header with (ugly on mobile) buttons
- the header image is resized poorly

One other major problem is that each page seems to load without the stylesheet for a splitsecond before rendering the new style, which is rather annoying.

also, since the new version the layout uses the full width of the page, but the post contents are still retained to the same size as they used to, requiring quite a bit of head movement to browse the site. We'd love to go back to the previous layout which had a maximum width.

Again, thanks for all the great work! We're looking forward to possible updates to address these smaller issues.

To restore the old behaviour of the header buttons and dropdown menu, see: https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/styl ... l/faq/2571

To change the behaviour of the forum width on wide screens, see: https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/styl ... l/faq/2531

I intend to improve the display of the header image on small screens for the next version.

Cool, thanks! I missed the FAQ :-)

Keep up the great work!
