but i am very sure it will happen by next year spring time
(of cuz, for those who use WINE is okay now...)

http://oranqe.wordpress.com/2008/09/03/ ... rome-beta/
according to this, they said, every single "new page" in chrome is like opening a one browser, that's the big feature in chrome

so, it will use a bit more ram than firefox does

hey wisdom, i think it may happen
but yet, google chrome is still pretty weak at its security? or the compatibility with web-content
but it will get better, and google does has the potential to speed up the work (they will, because they are going for personal desktop business)

I recall reading somewhere that Chrome is using a somewhat outdated version of Webkit, and as such is subject to a few vulnerabilities that have since been fixed.

oh yes, you are very right
it has been a long time ago
chrome did use an old version, and the developers, i think apple (right?), picked up the issue before google got the issue, but the developers had already released a fix while chrome did not.

not 100% sure now, but that;s what i read from the past and recently

Apple does not develop WebKit -- it's also Google's responsibility to ensure that they incorporate any upstream patches into the version of WebKit they are using.

yes, you are right
i read that sometime ago, what i read is
when apple released Safari 3.2.1 in july, they fixed those issues already
but google, they should know it by then, still stick with the old version

and the issue was found since May 2008
so they should have enough time to make a patch, yet, google did not

since MS OS only has IE as its stock browser
That could change if Google makes a deal with suppliers like Dell to pre-install Chrome (and I expect them to at some point).

Looks like Yahoo! followed this event pretty closely.

Yahoo! must have followed this event pretty closely because their front page is recommending a Firefox 3 Yahoo! version download. http://downloads.yahoo.com/firefox/

Having a Browser working under your Brand Name does make a difference. ;)

They had a reskined Netscape browser for years that they, for awhile, forced clients to use. That was interesting.

Quite interesting, actually Google is working with Yahoo!
So, just my "foolish" assumption here
this is an alliance which they are going to defeat the monster MS?

  yet, there is always rumor that Google wants to work with MS on personal web-based, or new-generation- personal-operating system

i do expect too, but let see what the consumers wants, just like Dell found Ubuntu as one of the leading linux-desktop-OS in the market, that's why they begin to sell ubuntu dell PC (laptop / desktop)

but certainly, google is really taking a big lead here....
more and more google applications

I remebered a couple years ago, while I was taking my computer class, my teacher used to tell us to use Netscape
and yeah, they did reskined it
http://blog.netscape.com/2007/12/28/end ... -browsers/

just a quick question, based on what I read in the past, AOL (Netscape) does work with Mozilla?
in another words, what is the relationship between Mozilla and Netscape?

This was the SBC Yahoo! Browser. As for your question, the relationship between AOL and Mozilla is, essentially, AOL used a themed version of Firefox, and that Firefox started after the abandoning of the Netscape division of AOL.
