Interesting. I wonder why I never hear of these vulnerabilities on the sites I check. :|

It is not important to ask which browser is the best, it's all personal preference. The imporant thing is that there is finally a choice again: Opera, Gecko (Firefox), Webkit (Chrome, Safari), and to an lesser extend IE8 introduce a variety of capable browsers we never had before. This is the best thing that can happen to standards and I am looking forward to some exciting times (Microsoft is already working on IE9, Firefox 3.5 will be out soon, Safari 4 Beta is the fastest fucking thing you can imagine, and the Chrome developers are just nuts.

If only opera had an underlining spell checker, I'd use it.

I asked this question a few days ago in my other forum.
It's all about people's preference.

But again, I use FireFox because I happen to use it for a long time. Yet, I use Opera Portable version in school because I can't use firefox, the old proxy method I know of didn't work in my school. I found it cool with that opera portable, so I use it.

Opera is cool, but not as friendly as to me because I can't have addons like those you found for FF.
Like Webmaster Tool, one of the most important tool I need in FF.

Hey guys, you mentioned opera over there, but I have encountered the browser before but never did try it, nor do I see its features. All I have been using from the present to the past is internet explorer then I used Firefox, and ever since its Firefox then.

Do you know where I might be able to download the installer for opera?

Thanks.

I personally prefer Firefox....
You can customize it, it looks nice and clean, doesn't take too much time to load, has a cool name and icon, and is made by a safe, reliable company that I can trust. :geek:

I use Opera because of the following features and things:
  • Apart from Chrome, it is the fastest browser on my machine(I also have FF3, Safari en IE8 installed).
  • Mouse gestures.
  • News Feed Reader
  • IRC Chat
  • Dragonfly for javascript debugging(Tried Firebug first... but somehow breakpoints and such don't work for me there).
  • Speed Dial
  • Synchronisation feature for bookmarks and speed dial
  • And I personally think the default layout just is better then other browsers.
So that's it for me. The other browsers simply cannot present me this featureset which I require and use for daily browsing.
