I remember running to the store with my $59 on the day it was released in 1996. Aftermath was the best expansion pack ever released.

The top of my list would be:
Fallout 1, 2
Final Fantasy VII, IX and XII
Monkey Island games
Shadow Warrior

Anyone remember Full Throttle?

I've had a few favourite games over all the consoles I've played on, but my favourite ever I think still has to be one from our Acorn Archimedes 3010 (which has no hard drive and 2mb ram and still works :P) - called Magic Pockets. It was ported to Windows and I'm determined to get it (thank you vmware <3).

The original Quake and Duke Nukem 3D would be next. I can't remember how many times I've completed them and how many machines I've played them on. From todays range of games, Rock Band / Guitar Hero - hands down, most fun you can have with a console. I also urge anyone to give Mirror's Edge a try. I really enjoyed it :ugeek: (i'm currently hoocked on Heavenly Sword for the PS3).

Best game I ever played:
Mario 64 (sorry PC, couldn't beat that analog controller back then)

Games I sunk years worth of time into:
Baldur's Gate II, Battle Isle III, Command & Conquer: Generals (+ Zero Hour), Command & Conquer: Red Alert, Command & Conquer: Renegade, Diablo II, Goldeneye (N64), Heroes of Might & Magic III, Tank Wars 2.5, World of Warcraft

Very good games:
Baldur's Gate, Bolo, Braid, Crimsonland, Half-Life, Heroes of Might & Magic V, Monkey Island II (and most other SCUMM games), Tetris (Gameboy), The Settlers II, World of Goo

I just got my old Dungeon Keeper running on Vista over the weekend. I ended up having to use a Dos emulator and installing the Dos version.

Obviously most of you are PC folks but if you get a PS3 download Monsters. That game is addictively fun. A lot of straegy involved! It's like the ultimate tower defense style game. I hope PixelJunk continues making games.

Crysis is incredible, though my PC doesn't allow its full potential, but the 3D engines running that game are the best yet. Eventually games are going to be so real that you bleed when the bad guy shoots you lol.

I wouldn't exactly say RCT3 was bad.

My PC games include:
  • Every Valve game (Except L4D)
  • Every Battlefield game
  • Crysis Warhead
  • Star Wars: Jedi Knight 2 - Jedi Outcast*
*I would love to see a remake of this game, especially with the new engine used on The Force Unleashed.

I have more, but these are the main games I play.
