I played DDO once for about an hour (at the request of an online buddy . . . after the game became free) and then lost interest. It is still installed on my Windows partition I think.

hehe that is the one game that I was actually tempted to try out, of all those TOP TEN because it is similar to 'DUNGEON MASTER' which I loved on the Atari ST

I saw an amazing TV programme the other night on "World of Warcraft stole my life" yikes it was 2 hours long and just got worse and worse and worse

the whole subject of MMO fascinates me

the TOP TEN above is from the latest edition of 'PC GAMER' magazine in the UK

has anybody else played any from the TOP TEN please?

if I ever got made redundant the temptation would be overwhelming I think

EvE was my fave.. I kinda hate how all the mmo's have the exact same layout and almost the same exact graphics..

EvE stood out to me, and was actually unique compared to all the WoW copy cats..
The sad thing is EvE costs $15 per month..
Sadly there are no EvE private servers since the servers EvE carries can hold 25,000 users.

I haven't played any mmo's in a while. I did use to play and try out several free ones though.

I love a good MMO, but the problem is any addictive game decreases coding productivity. :)

Don't you have to actually write some code for the productivity to decrease? :P

Yep.

I play what is sometimes considered an MMO, myself...apparently quite a few people consider Team Fortress 2 to be a MMOFPS. :)

I would have to agree with that, as well. Hence, I haven't touched Steam for quite a few days in order to get some actual work done. ;)

It's not massive so it wouldn't fit the MMO tag for me..
Maybe when they get a 1000 people on a huge map playing together than I could agree with that..
