Don't post it on the Internet. Once in the Public Domain then it is available to everyone.

disabling right click does nothing at all to prevent someone from copying text from a page or images etc.

there really is no way to do it. post the appropriate notices on your site about your content being copyright, make sure you understand the copyright laws in your country and that is about all you can do.

you can't prevent someone from copying your work so the only thing the law is good for is when they do it, you can sue for copyright infringement after the fact.

Once web content is displayed on a user's computer, it has already been downloaded to that computer. And there are always screenshots.

Thanks everyone. Especially David63 whose Ext. mods have been very useful.
Meanwhile, while waiting for response on my earlier post, I got a script to disable right click and disallow copying content from my forum and it worked. Following your responses, I took them off my 'overall_header/footer' in style template where I inserted them but the behaviour persists.
I cannot edit my forum effectively as before because the script still shows in 'view source' but has been deleted from the page. Any help on how to completely remove the invisible script please?

Even with a "disabling" script it would not stop the likes of Web scraping tools grabbing your data. As I said before - if you want to protect it then don't post it on the Internet.

I agree with you David.
But I need to remove the one I have put there already which is still functioning after deletion. I cannot highlight, copy etc even after removing the script. What do I do to remove the invisible script and get my forum back the way it was.

Did you purge the forum's cache after removing the code?

I don't know how to do that.
Could you please tell me how?

Thanks, I have purged the cache through the ACP. But my forum has gone blank.

Make forums private and hidden to the crowd (guests, bots), give access and visibility just to those students once they are logged-in.

try CTRL +f5 on your keyboard. If that doesn't work, open the cache folder on the server and delete all of its contents EXCEPT .htaccess and index.html

Thanks to you all. The forum was still blank after trying all suggestions but I got it fully back by removing it completely and re-installing a fresh one.
After transferring my backed up database, I got everything back though I had to do a bit of adjustments with extensions and Mods.
you are all wonderful :D :D :D
