big-boards.com

Post by timeforhelp1 »

I hit the magic 500,000 a few weeks ago,very proud,for curiosity I had a look at big-boards.com to see where i'd be.

But it's so out of date and a lot of the links don't work on the listed sites.

Wondering what people thoughts on the site are,are they on it,and why does it seem to have gone so out of date and down hill, the list doesn't seem to get updated.

Poor show.

500,000 what? posts or members?

maybe people have decided that big boards are not as important as they once were.
maybe they just don't care anymore so they don't bother to keep those types of sites updated?

As per their submission page:
After several months without having been able to update big-boards, we are now back into action and processing submissions again. You can follow here the status of our backlog.

There are currently 18422 forums waiting in our submission queue.
In the last month, 1 submissions have been processed.
At this rate it will take 18422 months before a new submission will be reviewed.
(I do not know if this is updated automatically or manually; if manually it may not reflect the true number)

Also note their last news post was dated: 2007-09-19

It's likely that the owners of that website just don't have the time or care anymore about updating it.

Last time I checked, they wanted you to pay for an "accelerated review" process. I said no thanks and moved on.
