if you look at the Ajax chat mod that my friend Handyman' developed at the dawn of 3.0 you'll see his mini profile there

he has still got star trek guide,com as his www

That Ajax chat was the first mini chat for 3.0 that I know of, I used it on all my 3.0 forums in 2008 and it worked well before Richie McGirr brought out a superior version

A lot of our really valued and skilled developers have made their own forums and offered support there for amazing mods like the one I quoted above

sadly I know that quite a few of these developer forums have fallen by the way side as the developers have maybe lost interest in phpBB?

it's a shame - 2007/8 was perhaps a huge peak time for phpBB and developers helping the phpBB cause - they deserved our support and acknowledgement then - maybe we could have done more

looks to me like the site is just down. maybe they are updating, maybe they are going away, who knows?

It does not necessarily mean anything of the sort. There can be 101 reasons why a site does not exist.

In many cases if a site has been suspended the host will put up a notice reflecting that. currently the index.php file is simply blank which usually is the result of an error in the php files somewhere.

It was working for me like 2 weeks ago and now today, all blank again. Hopefully someone from there sees this and gets it fixed. I miss that place.

They have a blank index file on their web host. I know that much. As if they weren't using their web host some other page would come up.

No clue what has happened but they could just be updating to 3.1

I get a blank white page also and I also see the little site icon (favicon) still shows up so I dont know what the deal is. Anyone know if any of the admins there are here at all?

Seeing that it returns a blank page, it could be one of two things:

1. The server is encountering a fatal error, and display_errors is set to Off.
2. The owner has deleted all contents of index.php

I was working with Sniper on there a bit with a mobile style and a few weeks ago went to go on there and bam, it was gone so now I have no way to check in on the topic and would love to get some notes from it that I lost. I hope they do get it back up. I miss it already.
