Meh, been on Windows 10 for 7+ months now and the only problem I've had is that the search bar didn't work in the earlier builds. It is much faster than Windows 7 ever was and just a hair faster than Windows 8.1. Loving the muli-desktop and new snap features

Why would you want to do any of that lol
Disabling Hibernate - I could see on a SSD but other than that not any reason unless you have a small HDD
Disabling Fast Startup - lol how could that improve performance

(If your dual booting then yes disable it)
Cortana I have found it somewhat useful but to each his own.
Hide Search - Search is the easiest way to load a program, just hit win key and type name
Most of the other things in that guide are defaults or can easily be changed via menu options
