And why don't you ask where the software comes from?

Or you could just use a dedicated css editor

Well there is the Quick Color Picker for Notepad++
https://github.com/nulled666/nppqcp

You double-click on the hex color and a color-picker pops up as well as a preview. Another cool thing is that it provides a few more colors that match the "theme" if you will.

Another one is the html color plugin for notepad++
http://www.npp.campulka.net/

You select the color code and click a button to show the preview. From the preview you can change the color by a few clicks. It can also be used to insert new color codes.

That's all I have for you right now in the way of that type of plugin. There is also always google if you need to try to find more but as far as I know, those are the main 2 that do the trick.

I haven't personally used them yet, but since you brought it up, I'm thinking of giving both try myself perhaps sometime. I usually just google it and also have a color picking extension in my firefox called "ColorZilla" and that extension is awesome.

Have an awesome day man! :)

Other Plugins have
a) instruction
b) are just a .dll who i copy in the folder and the run.

Sorry to hear that man. I didn't make them, just provided the info. Never used them myself as previously stated. Hope something works out for you. Best of luck.

I believe to install plugins you use the notepad++ plugins manager... once the program is open you click on "plugins" and then you click "plugins manager" and go from there. It should recognize any added plugins within the folders and then you can choose which ones to install from there.

I just downloaded that color picker for Notepad++

Code: Select all

Put the NppQCP.dll file into the "plugins" folder of your Notepad++ folder.
Restart Notepad++, and it will enabled automatically.
But there is no NppQCP.dll
