My comments will be very bad on all my socials

We don't generally delete accounts on this website. This is to not make any topics that you contributed to look weird when your posts would be gone. If you'd like your account to be inactive, you can do so by changing your e-mail address in the UCP and not reactivating the account.

Looking at the topic that you reference though, I think that the intentions of your post were misunderstood. Someone saw it as a request for support instead of a tutorial and tried to offer a way to improve your code. I'm sure no harm was meant here. :)

I also want my account to be deleted. Is it now possible?

someone on the staff will help you with that.

I wonder why you care about it being deleted. if you no longer want to be here just dont come back.
there will be no posts from you on here if you don't make any.
if you made any posts then they don't belong to you anyway, they belong to the board owners and they can delete them or not.

never did understand why people want to have their accounts deleted. what purpose does it serve anyone?

I've deleted my account before. Just to not be "in the database" for any future site emails, member to member contact attempts, or whatever might be intentionally done (or unintentionally done) with that site's data in the future. The sites had the extension for allowing users to delete their account, though.

But Jim's earlier recommendation presumably already covered that. Change your email address to info@<insert relentless marketing company here>.com, and not only will you be unable to re-activate your account, but heaven help them if the board tries to contact you again... 😜

You can just change your account settings to prevent non-staff from PMing you and then just log out and never come back. There is no reason your account needs deletion.

If that topic you referring to is about last post thing I don't see any hostility there whatsoever but ok

Damn. I should've read the date. I've also made that mistake.

Set me as author of posts of accounts that want to be deleted and I'll voluntarily curate what they produced as an anonymous quote. I love quoting oddities.

As Jim stated (3 years ago ;) ), we generally do not delete accounts. You are welcome to change your email to something you don't access to and you wouldn't be able to reactivate the account.
