You find the admin log in the database backup from the day before the delete occurred - but if it is more than a few days ago, you'll have a bad chance to get a backup.

How does that help if they deleted the logs a few min after they made the action?

Had a similar issue on my board, only it was a former mod who (probably her self-described hacker BF) created accounts with permissions set to "3" (founder) in the database, but not in the admin group, and then used them once a year to log in to say nyah, nyah, nyah.

After 4 years (Yeah, I know), I got sick of it and called the state police cyber crimes division, who when given the particulars, about 30 active members, no money involved, said that I should file a harassment complaint with local cops, which I am going to do, if just to get BF (who has zero internet presence) on the radar.

all you had to do was remove him as a user and then change the password to access the database etc.
