The problem is that many manuals are in German and also outdated. You have to google again to find new manuals. But it turns out to be very difficult. Many pages do not deal with it at all.
Then it also plays a role whether you have Win10 Pro or home installed. With the home version, which in Switzerland is unfortunately almost always installed on the devices, one can intervene much less. The possibilities are extremely limited.
It's a bottomless pit. If you think that now finally all spy windows are closed and the biggest gaps are closed, a new big update comes and everything is back to the old (there must be some benefit if such a software giant offers its operating program for free)
Nice and slowly I have installed and set up the new notebook of my husband the last days. Microsoft never wanted to deliver the May update. It took four days.
The day before yesterday it was finally offered for download.
Afterwards control in Windows udpate: no new downloads.
Control with the software of the notebook manufacturer: Your device is up to date.
Then check all drivers in the device manager. Nowhere a yellow exclamation mark.
Then opened the removed Apps folder on the desktop: 20 apps were removed.
Two absolutely needed by the notebook manufacturer found only after hours of googling.
Then tested the battery: Watched Non Stop Zattoo TV. Several programs and Internet browsers open simultaneously. As soon as a darker image appeared in the film, it flickered like crazy.
Check the Nvidia driver: the latest
Then click on update for the Intel graphics driver. It was a completely wrong one installed by the Win Update. After the update the image did not flicker any more.
A wrong driver was also installed for the sound card. No more dolby surround.(on the old notebook no chance to install it again)
One app caused conflicts and I had to manually remove it in the registry. Thought already I had to put the notebook back into the delivery condition. Thankfully not!
I have only blocked the automatic download and installation of updates in the local group guidelines until now. (What the local group guidelines are called in the EN version - google did not help me).
First of all I will look here if there is a solution to remove an unwanted Windows action - is of course on DE the page https://www.deskmodder.de/wiki/index.ph ... Windows_10
One must also take a close look at the local group guidelines. Then again: google google google.
Most of the adjustments (closing spy windows) are no longer correct in the latest Win10 version.
There are unfortunately more and more security vulnerabilities in Win10 (not spy windows) https://www.cvedetails.com/vulnerabilit ... ws-10.html
