I often get ones offering to post articles in return for sponsorship money. This sort of thing (got it yesterday)
One of our clients has shown interest in being featured on an article on your website.

Is that something you are able to accommodate?

We have a great inhouse team of writers and we can provide the content, or if you prefer, you can also write it and feature our client.

Can you please send me a price quote for an article?
Straight in the bin.

If I were to receive mails like that (which I don't) I would reply with a generous pricing overview in the order of 100€ per link per week. (and links only become visible after payment). I doubt I'ld receive a reply.
No, seriously - straight to the shredder.

I would think they would know the answer if they actually took a look at the board. I'm using "Show first Post only to guests"....

They haven't looked at the board though. It's all auto generated to send to Dear <insert site name>. They're always very general in their terminology. They never specify anything about your site, they always use phrases like 'we're specialists in the subject of your site'. Notice the one I posted above. There's no subject specific info in it.

It's common catch all spam mail that costs nothing to send and if they get 0.001% of people to reply, that's all they need.
