The first thing I noticed was : "threads".

Oh boy you missed a very special guy who did so (except for the filename viewtopic.php he was insisting on calling it "threads" all the way). He even showed up anew after being banned and was easy to recognize because of this (see screenshot).
I'm on a board where one of the Founders went deep into the code and replaced "topics" with "threads." It is a phpBB board, albeit an extremely modified one. Not even viewtopic.php was spared.warmweer wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 5:00 pmThe first thing I noticed was : "threads".
I doubt that a founder using phpBB would go as far as to change the wording from topic(s) to thread(s)>
Also the link to a post has a totally different structure

Indeed, though the site is brand new, so I don't think he missed much as far as updates are concerned.warmweer wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 9:02 amI guess he skips updates a lotRandom American wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 12:20 am I'm on a board where one of the Founders went deep into the code and replaced "topics" with "threads." There is no need to go "deep into code". Things like that are in the language files and are simple to change (300+ times).Random American wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 12:20 am

Perhaps he even changed viewtopic.php to viewthread.php

No, the term is also hardcoded in various parameters, such as
