I've jumped on the Xbox Live Bandwagon. I think it is awesome! The best online gaming service that I have been a part of (I haven't been part of many, mostly Battle Net though). There's just something about talking instead of typing that makes it more fun to play. I haven't played for a while, I need to.
Agreed. It's so much more of a personal experience; I've probably still logged more total hours playing RTCW and Enemy Territory, but there's just something about being able to log onto Xbox Live, join a friend's party and say hello to everyone that makes it really enjoyable.
Plus, being able to hear somebody exclaim "oh, no" at the last second before you run them down from behind in your ghost is a real treat.
Warcraft 2 is the PC Game that I have played the most online (not counting Hearts, Chess, and other games like that). It was a blast but not very fun when you were matched up agaisnt people who had no clue what they were doing or those that were way beyond your skill level. A lot of that was fixed in Warcraft 3 but I could never win whenever I played that.
Yeah, that was always my problem in most PC games, too - I never found one with a good system for matching up people of similar skill levels. I always found myself either getting absolutely owned, or feeling bad for having rampaged around the level destroying everybody. Never seemed to be much in between.
Hate blah blah, hate blah blah, suck blah blah...
Pls no trolling my topic kthx.
