I dont understand your question. Phpbb.com can fix their own errors, which is probably why if/when they have a problem it is fixed in no time.

You may be seeing an intermittent problem that seems to resolve itself quickly but is still there.

Obviously if there is a problem with the server, or the database that needs to be fixed a person manually does it.

my guess is.. it prolly has to do with the server.... and the webhost.
phpBB.com's host is prolly constantly watching the server to be sure the are not problems... whereas your host prolly is watching to be sure there arent problems.. but not as closely since my guess is you are not paying for such service.

Yea, i've been having that happen to me for weeks now. I posted it in area51 a few weeks back but an admin locked my thread. Supposedly they knew about the problem, but i guess it still persists because i've been getting it every few days for a minute or two.

Has phpbb.com been extremely slow to anyone else lately? I think it started getting slow after the host change.

just cause you are on a paid host does not mean they are watching the server as closely as i am sure the phpbb.com servers are watched.

When we have problems like that, it typically fixes itself. Not always, but usually. If not, OSL is very nice to us and is willing to help us out quickly if nobody is around that has access to the server.

OSL are the guys hosting us. :) Check the frontpage for a link to information. They host the big boys like Debian, Freenode, Mozillazine, Drupal, and others.
