Is Google Adwords worth it?

Just been reading the topic about adsense & thought I'd ask about adwords aswell.

My site will be launching in a few weeks so I'm looking at using both.
Have you had experience with it? any tips, advice?

well i know a bunch of people use it of course it just not people arn't telling in some cases.

I've actually started using it since I made those posts. So far so good...

Can be expensive if you want good returns, but at least you can set a budget limit.

Yes, works fine.

Just need to be carefull on:

1.- The text on your ads
2.- The keyword to show it
3.- Amount of bid
4.- Daily budget

But if you are asking if people clicks, yes at least the times i use it some people clicks. Its NOT good for generating traffic i guess (too much expensive) but to sell something, per example.

Hi there, I am using adwords and it brings me lot of visits ! It is the best solution ever for advertising, while other websites take lot of money for putting your banner/add on their website , google adwords can be cheap if you like but it is far more efficient than any other ad program !

Yes defiantly agree, do not be to broad with the keywords you pick, targeted keywords attract targeted visitors. I use Google ad words for my website and one of my keywords was "confession". I analysed my website statistics and found that Google was sending people to my site who typed in "sex confessions". This is obviously not what I wanted. SO be careful or you will soon see your budget sucked away each day.

What ads are you doing? What does it got to do with confession?

I've heard about Adwords as well, it sounds good. I'd try and see if it works out. I trust Google a lot so I have faith that Adwords is good.

I'm experimenting with it. Not sure if it's worth it but my field is a high traffic field. Certain target keywords can definitely be cost effective.

Depends on what kind of website you want to promote with adwords. If you have a commercial website and trying to sell stuff, you should try it.
