Do you use paid forum posters? (Please let not any site)

Post by bhoopalan » Fri Feb 08, 2008 2:31 pm

Hi PHPBB'tians,

Do you use any paid forum posters for your site? If yes, please dont let any link to any paid forum posters website as this forum may get locked. But say whether your paid forum posters service has good support, good posters and if its cheaper to you. And just PM me about this :P

Pm me about this!!!
Unless I am mistaken this is the General Discussion forum.
It is certainly not a place to try and seek the location of paid posters.

I can not see this topic going anywhere other than down the pan. _ locked

NO! I didnt mean that. I mean that some of them has some plans that if we pay $300 they will give us 150 members, 2000 posts and 100 Topics. Am asking about those types of people.

I can not imagine me ever paying anyone to post on my site(s)
If the content is good then they will come and post for "nowt"
If you feel that you need to pay to get some activity on your site then I would suggest you upload the blank copy of config.php that comes with your phpBB download.

Probably. Since that would disable your forum I assume it's about the same as telling you you don't deserve a forum. And I completely agree with that. If I manage at all to find out (not that I dig and search for signs) that the host of a forum I go to is paying a company to create a fake community, I will leave the site and avoid it in the future, doing all I can to prevent people I know from going there as well.

Sure you can pay people to post on your forum. But most websites don't directly pay, they offer gifts and stuff to motivate users to come online and post on their forums.

Certainly nothing wrong with that as long as you don't base it on post count. :D

Very post would be:

Yes, Joe I agree.

I have never seen a plan that cheap before, maybe $300 for 5 members and 50-150 posts

This is so unbelievable!
If my site could not attract members on it's own merits and had to resort to this to build a user base then I would pull the plug on it.

Use paid forum posters? I don't pay for my forum, no.
Going to spain again on the 17th to the 24th of August 2008 after I leave school, so probably won't be around as much during that one week period.

For $5,000,000 I will make one post on a forum of your choosing.

If you think that people will go to your forum more if they see there are users and "content" that maybe...I go to a forum for "pertinent" content...not some canned text stuff.

I was a member of one board that paid their own members for posting. That is, there were actual cash rewards to active members rather than hiring some third-party service. If I were to pay for posts that is the only way I would consider doing it. No third-party post supplier has any vested interest in the subject matter for your board. From what I have seen, many of them post inane comments like "nice post!" or "thank you for sharing" which doesn't add anything other than fluff. It does not improve the value of your board.

Frankly, in my opinion, there is no shortcut to building a board. It's a two-year process, minimum. Unless you have a built-in audience ready to go, it can take that long (or longer) to build up a board that will have any longevity.

Yes, good product = good sales. Even you paid peopels to your forum even just for the starter then after they left you will not make progress if your forum are not good. Try to make your forum have good MAIN subject to discuss such as the hottest topic in the world right now ANIME :D
Also try to make you forum skin looks good too, don't use the same skin with other phpbb user over and over. Have your own unique skin :!:
