We have wGEric to thank for getting the blog integration done... I think he built his own integration. :)

There isnt really a intergration, it uses different usernames/passwords, there is only a "plugin" that takes of the colors of .com.

And that is what makes me stick to phpBB.
P.S : I was not referring to giving it in the package as default, I was suggesting that it be optional.

Yeah, I loved how it was integrated and how it looks. I would like to have something like that myself.

Anyway, waiting for more articles. Maybe phpBB should have a blog team that writes phpBB related posts? I think that would be really cool, constantly having it upgraded with new, well thought out posts.

Personally, I think that would just be dragging useful people away from other parts of phpBB.

It's a good idea...but there is one thing bothering me.

A podcast AND a blog? What will be discussed on the podcast and what on the blog?

http://www.phpbb.com/blog/2008/07/01/th ... ng-a-forum
and
http://podcast.phpbb.com/2007/10/15/epi ... -and-more/

The last subject on this podcast has a few similarities with battye's blog... Isn't this blog a bit too much? Or the podcast for that matter?

You may have noticed that the podcast hasn't been very active recently. I have a feeling that the blog is replacing the podcast and the teams are leaving the podcasting to other outside people to handle...

The blog has been up for over a month now. Is everyone liking it? Do you feel like it has useful information in it? Is there anything you think we should change?

A bit more frequent posting would be nice, although I do understand all of you are quite busy and probably don't have the time to contribute posts as often as you'd like. A link to the blog in the header would also be nice, but as has been pointed out that's not terribly feasible at the moment

hahaa...it's time for me to ask a question
is the blog a wordpress? I mean the team does their own integration with wordpress?

Yes, the blog's Wordpress (says so in the footer, actually). I remember reading that the blog is fully separate from phpBB, except for a plugin that pulls the proper username color.
