Well maybe I worded it wrong then, and should have said SEO in general. Because my previous thread was pointed out that dupicate content is created by adding your own Meta Tag description.

No problems with the update, and I'm a complete techtard, so that's saying something.

:D

Thanks!

I always get a lot of errors when upgrading using the auto package, which is odd, seeing as I've only modified one or two files. Luckily, because of that, I can safely just replace the older files with those provided in the update for the most part.

instead of new posts getting a date/time stamp at first it now says how long since it was posted....

just made a post and it said in the last post column...

'Less than a minute ago'

it now says '5 minutes ago'

that feels so much cleaner and modernistic.
rickmallory posted the above

I thought he was kidding because when I upgraded 3.0.4 I was relieved to see that my boards did NOT get this "new feature" (which I don't want) :)

8-) figo, rick mallory mayknow more, PM him?
I don't see it either, but would like to :D

How is this feature turned on? In the basic time settings none of the options clearly indicate this type of display. We have 7 + 1 (modified) options available in the ACP.

Thanks!

In your profile, under Board Preferences, the "My date format" dropdown should have these options now:
  • less than a minute ago / 07 Jan 2009, 9:52
  • less than a minute ago / January 7th, 2009 9:52 am

I personally like this option very much, but is it a way to give the users the choice to disable it, keeping the old "today" / "yesterday" terms, like before? Thanks!

Just use another date format.

Thanks for reply iWisdom, I try to explain my doubt better: it seems that the AGO option "overwrite" the "today" term during the first 60 minutes, in other words: is it a way to display "today" during the first 60 minutes, too (as in the previous versions)?

As for as I can see, with other date formats is it always displayed the day number.

Guys, apologies if this is a newbie question, but do I need to update to 3.0.3 before going to 3.0.4? I'm at 3.0.2 now.

No, there's an update package 3.0.2 -> 3.0.4 available, just search this thread.

I'm new to having my own board and am currently running 3.0.1 and am enjoying it.

My ACP says I should update to 3.0.4 however I am pretty happy with the version I have and would hate to cause any problems for myself trying to update.

I can only see auto update packages for 3.0.2 - 3.0.4 and 3.0.3 - 3.0.4. I can't see one to update from 3.0.1.

Is this something I should even bother with?

If so is there an auto update package available for 3.0.1 - 3.0.4?
